Our November Retreat is traditionally the introduction of our Holiday Gifts-A-Making Box, a box filled with 9+ patterns, fabrics and all supplies to make a selection of holiday gifts. We'll have technique demos for the box projects. More details later on our 6th annual box.

PLUS Patti Bender will be holding a Tamarack Jacket Workshop BEFORE the retreat, starting Wednesday noon. A Zoom session will be held prior to the retreat for help with sizing and fabric selection. No prior garment sewing experience needed.

As of January 1, this retreat is on waitlist. 12 names from the waitlist will be invited on Jan 6th, the 12th day of Christmas. Additional names will be invited as life happens and attendees are unable to attend. Please let us know in the notes to us if you are able to fill a spot at the last minute.

Join TWO incredibly talented designers, Giuseppe Ribaudo—also known as Giucy Giuce and Alison Glass—this weekend for an exclusive opportunity to dive into the world of modern traditional quilting. Both are known for their unique approach to design, blending modern aesthetics with traditional quilting techniques.

Expect hands-on sessions where you can learn and fine tune new techniques, experiment with fabric colors and explore how to bring new life to traditional quilting methods. Plus, you'll get the opportunity to interact with a community of like-minded creators, share ideas, and get personalized tips from Giucy and Alison.

A Checklist of What to Bring is emailed  prior to the retreat and available in the Itinerary on the MY TRIPS APP published 60 days before. This list has been compiled over the years from attendees and  you will find it quite helpful. To help you plan, here's a short list:

• Your  sewing machine. Or contact us if you need to rent one for the weekend.

Workshop Supplies: We make it easy for you to pack and not run around before your trip!
There  is no long supply list for the workshops. A short Tool list will be provided if necessary.

Piecing thread is not included as we know everyone's machine has their favorite!

• Reserve your spacious sleeping room at our group rate by calling Berry Hill at (434) 517-7000. We have rooms blocked for you, so they may show sold out on line.

·  Credit Card payments are subject to a 3% (3.5% Amex) fee

Cancellation policy: The $100 deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to another retreat. If you cancel more than 120 days prior to the retreat, all monies paid, less deposit & processing fee will be  transferred to another retreat or refunded to original payment source. 30- 120 days prior, all monies not committed to vendors will be transferred to another retreat or refunded.  30 days or less before the retreat, refunds simply cannot be made. At any time, your payments may be transferred to a new attendee coming in your place.

Information on the booking site can be downloaded anytime by downloading a brochure. The brochure is updated in real time as the booking site changes.

The Itinerary available on the My Trips by WeTravel APP for your mobile device has more detailed info than the brochure – it is designed for those actually attending the retreat. It will be available 90 days prior and will include What to Bring lists! We update during the event with meal menus.

All levels of sewists welcome. Prior Garment Sewing not required or expected.

A Zoom class will be held prior to the retreat to assist with sizing and fabric selections.

Patti will be talking about adding quilt squares to the basic jacket. If this is your first jacket to make, perhaps plan to sew a basic jacket and take home tips on making it unique.

Friday afternoon is an optional Cozy Quilt Workshop with Alsion starting at 1:30 pm.

The Cozy Quilt is a jersey knit, raw edge, reverse appliqué project made out of high quality, 100% cotton, medium weight jersey knit, quilting cotton "center", and Perle cotton thread. The project size is small wallhanging/pillow size, about 20" square. Of course it's a Holiday theme design, just for us.

The Kit includes Jersey fabric, Perle cotton thread & more. The quilted center will be made in advance with fabrics of your choice. Instructions will be sent in September, so you have plenty of time. You will need medium micro tip scissors like Karen Kay Buckley Blue.

This is a workshop not to be missed!

Saturday's all day workshop features designs from their not yet released Winter 2026 Sew Along. You'll have so many ideas to take home... plus a project to complete Saturday.

Finish your projects on Sunday... who wants a UFO to bring home!  We'll have a special Sunday Brunch to give you time to sew through the afternoon. Farewells are hard when it's been a blast.  We look forward to seeing you at our next retreat.
